Real Health in Mind

We prioritize real health. This commitment to your health extends to our approach to technology, where we prioritize safety and minimize potential risks such as radiation exposure and compression.

Innovative Technology

We use the QT Scan, which integrates transmission and reflection ultrasound to generate 3D images of the breast. This advanced technology offers a safe, non-invasive, and highly precise alternative for breast imaging.

What Happens If There Is an Abnormal Finding on Your Scan

If there is an abnormal finding on your QT scan, a radiologist will provide a formal report with recommendations based on the characteristics of the finding and your clinical history.

If a lesion appears suspicious for cancer, we will generally recommend further evaluation, which may include a biopsy.

If a finding appears more likely to be benign, we may recommend a short-interval follow-up scan, typically in 60 days. This allows us to reassess the finding, recount cells, measure growth or doubling time, and determine whether the lesion should be biopsied or safely monitored. This approach is designed to reduce unnecessary biopsies, overdiagnosis, and overtreatment.

In some cases—particularly when there is a palpable mass or other concerning clinical findings—we may recommend evaluation by a breast specialist. If you are referred to a specialist, you should expect that they may request additional imaging studies. This is standard medical practice, as providers often rely on imaging modalities they routinely use and are most familiar with.

QT is a newer imaging technology. While it provides valuable, high-resolution information, not all specialists are yet trained to interpret QT images directly. As with any imaging study, your provider’s role is to review the radiology report and use it to guide next steps in care. Our priority is always patient safety and ensuring that findings are evaluated appropriately—without unnecessary procedures, while also not missing anything that requires timely attention.

What People Are Saying

At perfeQTion imaging we use QT Technology, the first non-invasive breast imaging technology that provides a true 3D image of the breast’s microanatomy down to a few hundreds cells without compression or radiation. The technology has the ability to systematically strip away normal tissues to expose an underlying mass deep within the dense breast tissue.

What to Expect at Your Visit

  • The QT Scan is designed to alleviate the stress commonly linked to breast imaging among women. Conducted at our centers, this scan involves immersing the patient's breast in a water bath while capturing detailed images.

  • In order to prepare for your scan, you can shower either the night before or the morning of your study. We ask you to not put lotion, body oil, powder, or any product on your breast. Come with clean skin. If you have any open wounds on your breast, we will need to reschedule your appointment for when your skin is healed.
